The course will complement the biological knowledge MS students gain from other courses and their thesis work by providing training, experience, and critical feedback in the following areas:
- graduate student challenges   (academic and research   expectations, time management,   student-advisor relationships)
- professional presentations
- grant writing
- curriculum vitae
- peer review system and giving /   receiving constructive criticism
- scientific ethics
- interviewing for graduate /   professional schools and   employment
